Opinion essay-Manel Dávila

Nowadays, many people think that violence shown on TV affects the behavior of our teenagers, which makes them aggressive, moreover, some experts help this theory, but it is true?

I believe that violence shown on TV is not a problem for the behavior of teenagers. Seen an action film where there are shoots, explosions, fights, does not make you aggressive, you now it is a film is not real. All teenagers are different each one has a way to behave or express things, some people are suitable to be more aggressive. However other people are not as aggressive as others and know how to manage this feeling or emotion.

On the other hand, people that can't control their feelings, are in danger, because they could confuse the fiction with the real world. For example, If someone has been seeing violent films, programs or playing videogames at the minimum problem they could act aggressively.

To sum up, I think teenagers are very different and not all of them will be violent. What is more, fathers are responsible for what their sons watch on TV, so this attitude depends on the person.

An Opinion Essay Victor Donet

Adults are totally against the increase of violence above the teenagers, who says that’s why the television show a lot of violence on the nowadays programs and films, nevertheless the adults let the kids play video games with pegi 18 that according to a study video games are worse for that therme.

Personally, I think that the most part of the teenagers didn’t know what are they doing meanwhile they are seeing television programs, which ones creates addiction and violence that is the main problem, that’s the main problem but how can we solved? We can’t, because the most part of the time the teenagers are alone at home because the fathers are working and the teenagers as soon as they arrive to home starts watching the television or youtube also in the TV. The most powerful weapon against that problem is talk with teenagers about the consequences that can involve this problem, that this problem can destroy their future.

In conclusion, the only thing that we can do is conscience the teenagers about the problems that can entail be addicted to the television. If we conscience the teenagers, they would be more prudent with television.

Opinion Essay- Violence in our society (Marta Navarro)

Nowadays it’s so common in teenagers or even in kids to see violence in TV or even in videogames. There are two types of violence: physical and psychological. People who use psychological violence are not as clear as those that use physical violence.

We can see a clear example here in Barcelona, in IES Joan fuster, which is a school from this neighbourhood, a boy killed his teacher with a home-made crossbow, and there are so many examples like this. In my opinion, this violence comes from videogames, because now it’s trendy to play or simulate violence games.

However, not all the kids are “in danger” to be aggressive, because in my point of view depending on their childhood. Also, this behaviour can grow up when you are an adult

So, if there wasn’t videogames or violence TV series, wouldn’t it be a better society?

Therefore, in my honest opinion, if parents took care of their children when they aren’t at school, most of this violence problems would be disappeared.

Opinion essay Ferran González

It is said that children and teenagers spend a lot of time watching TV, so what they do watch have strong effects at their lifestyles. There isn’t any study about how does it affect but seems to be true that violence series causes after mental problems or disorder in it.

In my opinion, children and young aged people that are used to see TV violence grow up being more aggressive, selfish and less empathic than those who are not used to. Not only TV programs provoke bad aptitudes, also violent videogames, that is an action that put you on the protagonist of the action it’s worst. However these problems won’t be solved if anyone takes actions on the matter. If violence were prohibited in TV programs and series, the violence actions of a child would decrease.

In conclusion, the parents must control their child and educate in the right way if they don’t want to have aptitudes problems so they prevent any violent action in the future.

Opinion Essay - Marta Larrosa

OPINION ESSAY

All over the world there is and has been, for as long as we can remember, violence between nations, organizations and individual peoples. This has caused that the violence among the teenagers increase, and nowadays has had a big impact in the society.
The seriousness of the matter is that this violence usually start from observing it at their families, neighborhoods, communities or just what they watch on television, on the Internet…

To conclude I think that the violence between the teens will not ever ending. And one important thing that we have to remember is that not just one single factor can be linked to youth violence and the society also has some responsibility to it. For example, if the society limited games and videos that have many violent scenes and parents took care of their kids much more than at the present the violence would decrease.

Opinion Essay - Maria Alba

Violence increases when more violence is shown on television?

Nowadays, it is becoming more and more common that teenagers are hook to the TV and see
a lot of violence that affects them. However, the question we need answer is how affects them
see violence on the TV.
Personally, I believe that they learn about what they watch in TV, if they see violence in TV,
they would be more likely to be violent. Moreover, they see violence as a normal thing due to
all the TV programs that they see.
Furthermore, I think that violent TV programs can affect to the view of their reality. I mean,
they will normalize the violence if they see many aggressions on the television. In addition,
they also can imitate the violence they observed.
In conclusion, I think that teenagers that see this kind of programs are more likely to be more
violent than teenagers that do not watch these programs.

Opinion Essay - Pau Salvador

How the TV can make the teenagers more aggressive.

In my opinion all the aggressive things that we watch in the TV makes us more aggressive, so if
you watch aggressive things in the TV, you will be more aggressive. For example WWE is a TV
programme that had created lots of problems with teenagers, because it makes very
aggressive who watch it.
Also lots of videogames make us more aggressive, but if you don’t play this type of games, you
won’t be a sociable person, so we can say that also the grades of aggressive from the
teenagers, are a little bit created for the society.
To conclude, thing that is very important where we are educated and how, because we will be
in the future all the things that happen to us.

Opinion Essay - Daniel Esteban Valero

Many people believe that the violence in society, especially among teenagers, increases when more violence is shown on television. A lot of parents whose soon see this type of scenes are worried cause of seeing this in the news repeatedly, but that assumption is really truth?

From my point of view the violence is a natural feeling of the human, which one must learn to control it, many times the violence is exposed to people too young, which run the risk of not being able to control this feeling, although is not usually the case. Therefore, we can see a tag with a number in the case of a game or movie that mark the limit of age to see certain scenes, although being honest, the person who sees this don't pay attention on it.

However, have been confirmed several cases of an augury of violence in which the person in question suffered from mental disorders cause of this violence. Furthermore, in many other cases the person that had this symptom present an age lower than sixteen.

In conclusion, we should replace the expression "If a lower quantity of violence was shown on television, the level of violence in our society would be reduced" by "If the parents controlled better the things what they soon see on the television or the video games they play, the risk of violence would be reduced".

OPINION ESSAY-Raúl-cAMACHO-Ciborro

European and American children watch television for an average of three to four hours a day. I think that television can be a powerful influence in the development of a value system and in the formation of behavior. Unfortunately, a large part of current programming is violent. If children are excessively exposed to violence on television they tend to be more aggressive.
Sometimes, watching a single violent program can increase aggression. If children watch shows in which violence is very realistic, it is repeated frequently or does not receive punishment, they will try to imitate what they see. Children who have emotional, behavioral, learning, or impulse control problems may be more easily influenced by violence on TV which don’t think about this.
Nowadays, the impact of violence on television may be immediately apparent in the child's behavior or it may arise years later.

English review- Júlia Pinós

Nowadays technology affects a lot our lives.
Television is a very popular machine which everyone sees and you can see wherever you want like the news, cartoons, documentaries, talent shows and even the match of your favorite sport.
The only problem that I see watching television is that if you think that all you see is truth you will be living in it’s scam.
Nevertheless, I don’t think your whole live can be affect by the things you see and much less violence increases in teenagers when is more violence shown on television.
Most people, when something wrong happens, blame the television or video games but I don’t think they really have the fault.
In conclusion, I think violence is influenced by your social sphere and depending on where do you live and with who. Not depending on what you see on the TV.

Opinion Essay - Anna Sainz

Some people say that if a teenager sees violence on television, it will be violent. But is it true that violence in society increases when more violence is shown on television?

Someone who played a violent video game will not be more violent because of that. Although it is not good that we see violence constantly, since that can affect our mental health. People can be violent because of experiences they have lived or simply because they have the genetical tendency to be more aggressive.

In conlusion aggressivity can be because of violent experiences in life, especially in childhood, and not because videogames or movies.
OPINION ESSAY

Nowadays, more and more people argue about what the consequences of watching violence on television might be and how they might affect people, specially teenagers.

It is true that violence has to do with a lot of factors. However, television can be one of the main ones. Teens, who are still in their development stage, can be influenced by the things they see on television or other media. Watching that type violence on television may convince them that it is a normal behavior that they can take as a reference.

Furthermore, in my opinion, watching violence on television can make teenagers believe it is a good way to solve problems. They might become immune to the horror of violence, meaning that they would see it as a normal thing, if people were acting that way.

In conclusion, I think teenagers would be more pacific if they saw less violence in television due to their likeliness of being influenced by the media.

Opinion Essay - Emma García

As some studies show, today children spend at least 4 hours a day in front of the television. This situation causes many children to learn through it.
On average, 23 violent scenes are broadcast every 30 minutes, and some studies show that the fact that children spend so much time facing the screen makes these children build their perspective of the world, creating a false view of reality. For this reason, if more violence is shown on the TV, more likely are children to accept violence as a way to solve their problems. Although it doesn't always happen, some children would imitate violent behaviors if they often see this type of scene in the TV or identify with certain characters, whether victims or aggressors. That does not indicate that violence on television is the only source of aggressiveness or violent behavior in those children, but that is certainly a contributing factor.
In conclusion, to prevent children from being exposed to violence on television, parents have to pay attention to the programs that children watch on television, but above all, it is necessary to explain to them that the violence they see on television is something negative and dangerous.

OPINION ESSAY- Carla Orpella

Nowadays teenagers are more propensive to be violent, because social networks, televisions or other means have shown violence as something superficial and without seeing what the use of violence implies.

Personally, I believe that young society is very manipulable and a very revolutionary collective. As a result of this, the television media influence education and the values taught to us as children.
The television shows any type of violence, which can be gender, physical, verbal, cultural or cyberbulling. Teenagers, who see them so often, get to incorporate the violence into our lives without realizing it. If the media didn't show such violence, the young people would not be so violent.
I believe that if violence is shown, it should also be shown what it means to use it, since only one part is shown in the media and not the other. For example in video games many of them are violent and they play killing each other, it is a game, but this game influences the lives of young people.

In conclusion, violence among young people increases by showing violence on television, as they are influential sources.

Opinion essay - Fatima Oukar

Nowadays, the amount violence in society is increasing especially among teenagers. There is so much violence shown in television and maybe it can be one of the reasons why the violence among teenagers is growing. So, will the violence stop if we watched tv shows and movies without violence?
As a teenager, I think that watching shows with violence it doesn’t affect you as a person, maybe it can influence you but it can’t change who you are. For example, if you watch in television something with violence you won’t go out and make more violence.
However, there is so many differents opinions and thoughts about the reasons of why the violence among the teenagers is increasing.

opinion essay- raquel agustina

It is common nowadays to hear people who complain about the usual violence among  teenagers. Could be the TV one of the main sources where teens get inspired?

Personally, I think that, at this ages, TV can be a huge influence in teenagers life. Playing violence games or seeing some type of films can be damaging for their mental health. I think that if less violence was showed in TV, teenagers wouldn’t tempt to be so aggressive. There are many films and series genres like action, comedy, romance…,  and some of them, violence is included, we can’t ban them for it but we could reduce it.

In conclusion, I don’t think the TV is the main source of violence, but if we could reduce it, teens wouldn’t normalize it and violence would decrease.

Opinion Essay - Natàlia Serarols

It is known that television and social media can be a very powerful influence on people, especially among developing value systems and shaping behavior, so especially among teenagers. Much of today's television programming is violent, and this may or may not be a significant factor in today’s violence in society.
Personally, I believe that the fact that more violence is shown on television may be a factor in the increase of violence in society, especially among teenagers. I think so because, at this age, social media and tv can be such an influence on us, and we can really let ourselves go seeing all this stuff on tv.

However, I don’t think that television is the only and main cause, because teenagers are exposed to violence through more things, so I don’t think that the main problem about violence comes from TV, because if you don’t have an aggressive personality to start with, you aren’t going to start beeing a violet person just for what you see on tv and all these things.

In conclusion, I don’t think that violence in society, especially among teenagers, increases just because violence is shown on television, but I do think that if less violence was showed on television, teenagers wouldn’t be as violent as they are.

Opinion-Martí Comas Gayete

Violence among teenagers is a very talked topic which worries some people, specially adults who say that this violence increases when more violence is shown in television.

From my point of view, teenagers are more exposed to violence and to be violent but I do not think that television is the main cause of it. However, it is true that if less violence was showed in television, teenagers wouldn’t be as violent as they are.
Personally, we should know how to distinguish the rational causes of violence and the exaggerated ones. One rational cause would be the excess of violence in videogames, which most of teenagers play, and one exaggerated would be the violence in TV.

In conclusion I don’t think that the main problem about violence comes from TV but I think that if we reduce the boosts of violence in our society, teenagers and people in general would be less aggressive and violent.

Opinion essay- Marina Hernández

It is generally agreed that violence increases in teenagers when more violence is shown on television. We can hear this sentence in a lot of conversations, especially in adults. Even so, it is this statement the truth?

In my opinion, there is not a relation between the teen violence and the violence that is shown in the television. It is clearer if we see this situation with another emotion.  If television showed sad programs, would we be sadder? If television showed pacific programs, would we be more pacific? No. Moreover, everyone has watched violent scenes on television and generally, no one wants to kill people.

Nevertheless, many people consider that television or video games encourage violence, but this is caused because of the manipulated news. When someone does something violent, this news says that the problem was that the person was a fan of violent video games or movies.

In conclusion, I consider that violence in teenagers has not relation with the programs that are shown on television.
