Black Mirror is a British television series of drama created by the director Charlie Brooker. this
series consists of five seasons and twenty-two chapters for each. “Nosedive” is the first
episode of the third season of Black Mirror series, and was performed for the first time on
October 21 of 2016.
The episode takes place in a world that people can rate each other by scores of one to five stars in each social interaction they make. Lacie, a young woman obsessed with her qualifications, is chosen by a popular childhood friend as the bridesmaid of her wedding. During the trip, Lacie meets one of the workers in charge of customer service. After a long discussion her personal qualification
begins to reduce.
Nowadays, the topic he is dealing with isn’t still happening, but in a few years all this could be real, and personally it will be very bad. What i like best is that it makes you see that this shouldn’t happen, that your quality of life shouldn’t be defined by the qualifications of others about you.
The episode could be a little shorter, but otherwise it is a very well thought out and elaborate
episode, which makes us see one of the problems of the society.
If someone has the opportunity to watch this episode, I recommend it, because this episode
holds the spectator’s attention until the end.
