The chapter plot starts introducing our protagonist Lacie and a society that
measures itself via a point mechanic that if you have more overall rating, you
will obtain life and social privileges, like better Jobs, quicker and better flights,
deluxe service with zero arguments in some establishments etc, but in
counterpart, if you have a low score in your rating, you will be seen as a society
scum and lose all the privileges and make important things very hard to obtain.
Lacie lives in a suburban apartment with her brother. Lacie wants a deluxe
apartment in a rich neightbourhood but if her score in that moment was 4.5 or
more, she would have obtained the discount, but she was a 4.2 so she needed
a way to get her score up. So, one day in her job she saw a plushie that her and
her childhood best friend made together long time ago, so she uploaded a
photo of the plushie to get her friend attention (her friend was 4.7 so tried to
befriend her again so she could get more scores entering again in NaeNae
close friend circle). Her plan initialy worked but If she thought more about her
actions, she wouldnt have ended ruined in her score.
She started to have a downfall in her score at the momento NaeNae invited
Lacie to her wedding very far from Lacie´s town, so Lacie very stressed and
almost losing her sanity went to the airport but the flight was overbooked and
she needed a higher score to get on the plane, so she losed her marbles and
insulted her, making her lose a whole point, then she went into a tragic
downfall of her rating from 4.2 to 1.1. So if she had taked the situation more
normally, she wouldnt have lost all her score, do a talk interrupting NaeNae
wedding and knowing why this society stinks and why no one apreciates
people now for their friendship, just for their score
