PROBLEM – SOLUTION ESSAY (Paula Romano)

Nowadays, toxic relationships are becoming a big issue among teenagers, and in some cases these relationships can result in abuse. 

Firstly, anyone can easily find himself in a toxic relationship because we are unaware of how to recognize one. There is no doubt that some of these relationships may end in abuse, which not only can damage a person physically but psychologically too. Furthermore, people who find themselves in this situation often feel ashamed to tell anyone and they don’t do anything to stop the situation they are in.

It is vital that action is taken to combat this problem. One thing that could be done is to offer additional educational programs at school. That way, experts can teach teens how to recognize a toxic relationship and what to do if they find themselves in this situation. Also, schools should provide a person that students can talk to and explain their concerns and not feel judged.

To conclude, even though action should have been taken earlier, this problem can still be solved if schools offer the necessary educational programs.
