Many people think that a lot of abuses that come from toxic relationships could have been avoided if the people involved had had enough knowledge of what types of abuse there are/exist.
Firstly, there are people who think that there is only one kind of abuse: violence. That is why they do not recognize if they have been suffering or if they have suffered other kinds of abuse.
Secondly, there are another kind of people that tend to justify their couple with phrases like “He has to take care of me, that is why he does not let me hang out with my friends”. They think that they are not suffering abuse, that relationship must be that. For that reason, schools should do educational programs to inform about all forms of abuse for people know all kinds of abuse.
To conclude, schools must offer educational programs to inform about all forms of abuse for teenagers that are in a relationship can identify if they are or have been victims of abuse or not.
